"Revolut Data Breach: 50,000+ Users Affected"

Revolut, the financial technology company behind the widely used banking app of the same name, has experienced a data breach, which was followed by phishing attacks designed to exploit the situation. On September 11, some Revolut customers reported receiving inappropriate wording via chat. A few days later, some users received an email informing them that their account had been compromised as a result of a cyberattack. According to Revolut, the attackers did not gain access to funds, credit card details, PINs, or passwords, but they did gain access to affected users' personal data. Since Revolut is a registered bank in Lithuania, Lithuania's State Data Protection Inspectorate revealed that Revolut Bank suffered a data breach and that access to the database was obtained through social engineering methods. It was also revealed that the data of 50,150 customers worldwide was potentially compromised. This information includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, a portion of the payment card data, and account information. This article continues to discuss the Revolut data breach.
