"Riverside Research Wins DARPA HARDEN Contract Award to Improve National Cybersecurity Efforts"

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has given a multi-year award to Riverside Research, a leader in cybersecurity open architecture solutions with a track record in the defense and intelligence community. Riverside Research, together with Boston University, High Peaks Cyber, and BedRock Systems, will participate in DARPA's Hardening Development Toolchains Against Emergent Execution Engines (HARDEN) program. The objective of the HARDEN program is to create tools that will prevent the exploitation of integrated computing systems by interrupting the patterns of attackers' powerful and reliable exploits and depriving them of emergent execution engines. Through the automatic translation of emergent vulnerabilities and system software into Universal Composability for Preventing Adversarial Composition Techniques (UC-PACT) Domain-Specific Language (DSL) and the translation of Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) specifications to UC-PACT DSL, Riverside Research will help DARPA in achieving its objective. This article continues to discuss DARPA's HARDEN program and the support that Riverside Research will provide for this initiative.
