"Snowflake Data Breach Impacts Ticketmaster, Other Organizations"

According to security researchers, a data breach faced by the cloud storage company Snowflake resulted in the theft of large amounts of information from Ticketmaster and other organizations. A hacking group recently claimed to have stolen Ticketmaster user data, impacting about 560 million users, and demanded $500,000. Live Nation Entertainment, a Ticketmaster parent company, reported unauthorized access to "a third-party cloud database environment" containing data from the ticket sales platform. A criminal threat actor offered what it alleged to be the company's user data on the dark web on May 27, 2024. Live Nation Entertainment does not name the third-party services provider responsible for the breach, but the threat intelligence community has learned it is Snowflake, a cloud Artificial Intelligence (AI) data platform used by thousands of companies to store, manage, and analyze large amounts of data. This article continues to discuss the Snowflake data breach.
