"Ultrasound-Firewall for Mobile Phones"

A mobile application that can detect and block acoustic cookies has been developed in the SoniControl project of St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. The application is considered to be an ultrasound firewall for smartphones and tablets that can allow users to block acoustic cookies. Acoustic cookies pose a threat to the privacy of users as such ultrasonic signals are able to determine the behavior, interests, and location of users. This article continues to discuss ultrasonic communication between devices, along with the development and capabilities of the ultrasound firewall for mobile phones.
