The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence is the first global framework for the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It urges nations to maximize AI's benefits and minimize its risks. The guide covers values and principles, as well as policy proposals for all relevant areas. UNESCO is concerned about many of the ethical challenges posed by these advances, including the right to privacy, the security of personal data, and more. More than 40 countries in all parts of the world are currently collaborating with UNESCO to establish AI checks and balances at the national level.
