Stephen Smalley is a senior researcher in the Laboratory for Advanced Cybersecurity Research organization of the National Security Agency, where he provides subject matter expertise and technical leadership of research in platform trust architectures and mechanisms. Previously he led the development and successful technology transfer of Security Enhancements for Android (SE for Android) and Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) to mainline Android and Linux respectively, and continues to serve as one of the SELinux kernel maintainers.
