Project Goals
What is the current project goal?
Our goal during this time has been to connect the vector database to a generative artificial intelligence so that we can essentially ask questions regarding the contents of the database and get human-like responses.
I plan to soon combine this with a predictive AI instead of just generative, as the current AI can only give very broad and weak predictions. Additionally, Jorge and Shelby are both working to get more data formatted properly and uploaded to the database, as I currently only have about 100 text files able to be queried.
We’re also working on extending this to twitter datasets, and Jorge is working on using the database and our datasets to make graphical representations of the data in addition to the lexical Q/A information we plan to retrieve from the system I am working on.
- How does the current goal factor into the long-term goal of the project?
This current goal will enable us to identify the network of topics that are most often the subject of conversation in the news or digital spaces. Having a taxonomy of topics or concepts will bring us closer to determining the norms that are most at play.
From this, eventually, we hope to be able to develop a timeline from the retrieved data where some form of trajectory can be extracted.
