General Topics of Interest:
General Topics of Interest include news items related to Cybersecurity, information on academic SoS research, interdisciplinary SoS research, brief profiles of leaders in the field of SoS research, and descriptions of entities outside the United States involved in related research. The newsletter also provides a link to the SoS Academic survey which seeks to identify those academic institutions and individuals doing SoS research with the goal of expanding the SoS research community.
This issue includes profiles of the Science of Security Lablets at Carnegie Mellon, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and North Carolina State University. It also includes items on SWAMP (the Software Assurance Marketplace), the US Army Research Laboratory’s Cooperative Research Alliance, Carnegie Mellon’s CyLab, and Boston University’s Center for Reliable Information Systems and Cyber Security (RISCS).
Publications:
The Publications of Interest section contains bibliographical citations, including abstracts (if available) and links on specific topics and research problems of interest to the Science of Security community. This first issue covers over 20 topics and disciplines. Future issues will cover new topics, as well as provide additional citations on topics covered earlier. Please check back regularly for new information.

There are links and descriptions of recently funded NSF projects, new Research Grants due dates for 2014, and Upcoming Events of interest.
