IoT and AI created a Transportation Management System, resulting in the Internet of Vehicles. Intelligent vehicles are combined with contemporary communication technologies (5G) to achieve automated driving and adequate mobility. IoV faces security issues in the next five (5) areas: data safety, V2X communication safety, platform safety, Intermediate Commercial Vehicles (ICV) safety, and intelligent device safety. Numerous types of AI models have been created to reduce the outcome infiltration risks on ICVs. The need to integrate confidence, transparency, and repeatability into the creation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the safety of ICV and to deliver harmless transport systems, on the other hand, has led to an increase in explainable AI (XAI). Therefore, the space of this analysis protected the XAI models employed in ICV intrusion detection systems (IDSs), their taxonomies, and available research concerns. The study s findings demonstrate that, despite its relatively recent submission to ICV, XAI is a potential explore area for those looking to increase the net effect of ICVs. The paper also demonstrates that XAI s greater transparency will help it gain acceptance in the vehicle industry.

Recent advancements in technology have transformed conventional mechanical vehicles into sophisticated computer systems on wheels. This transition has elevated their intelligence and facilitated seamless connectivity. However, such development has also escalated the possibility of compromising the vehicle’s cyber security expanding the overall cyber threat landscape. This necessitates an increased demand for security measures that manifest flexibility and adaptability instead of static threshold-based measures. Context-awareness techniques can provide a promising direction for such security solutions. Integration of context-awareness in security analysis helps in analysing the behaviour of the environment where IoT devices are deployed, enabling adaptive decision-making that aligns with the current situation. While the incorporation of context-awareness into adaptive systems has been explored extensively, its application to support the cyber security of vehicular ecosystem is relatively new. In this paper, we proposed a context-aware conceptual framework for automotive vehicle security that allows us to analyse real-time situations thereby identifying security threats. The usability of the framework is demonstrated considering an Electric Vehicle(EV) Charging case study.

Smartphones have completely altered the mobile communication scene. Wi-Fi, global positioning system navigation, high-resolution cameras, and touchscreens with high-speed internet access are just some of the cutting-edge capabilities that these devices offer, allowing users to stay in constant contact with the present. Since many of these features are embedded deeply in the mobile operating system, they are typically inaccessible to the average user. However, Google released Android, a revolutionary operating system. Because of its open system architecture, this platform encourages third-party development and a debugging environment that users may change to create their own unique apps. In this research project, we examine the development of an Emergency Based Remote Collateral Tracking System app on the Android mobile platform from Google. There are three main forms of emergencies: those involving the heart, those involving personal safety, and those involving the roads. Users who own and operate motor vehicles are the primary focus of this app. Our program can keep tabs on the driver’s pulse by connecting to a heart rate monitor. Our application has a backup function in case of anomalies. First, it sends SMS messages containing the user’s location data after using GPS to do so.

Wearables Security 2022 - Healthcare has become one of the most important aspects of people s lives, resulting in a surge in medical big data. Healthcare providers are increasingly using Internet of Things (IoT)-based wearable technologies to speed up diagnosis and treatment. In recent years, Through the Internet, billions of sensors, gadgets, and vehicles have been connected. One such example is for the treatment and care of patients, technology—remote patient monitoring—is already commonplace. However, these technologies also offer serious privacy and data security problems. Data transactions are transferred and logged. These medical data security and privacy issues might ensue from a pause in therapy, putting the patient s life in jeopardy. We planned a framework to manage and analyse healthcare large data in a safe manner based on blockchain. Our model s enhanced privacy and security characteristics are based on data sanitization and restoration techniques. The framework shown here make data and transactions more secure.

Science of Security 2022 - As a new industry integrated by computing, communication, networking, electronics, and automation technology, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has been widely concerned and highly valued at home and abroad. With the rapid growth of the number of intelligent connected vehicles, the data security risks of the IoV have become increasingly prominent, and various attacks on data security emerge in an endless stream. This paper firstly introduces the latest progress on the data security policies, regulations, standards, technical routes in major countries and regions, and international standardization organizations. Secondly, the characteristics of the IoV data are comprehensively analyzed in terms of quantity, standard, timeliness, type, and cross-border transmission. Based on the characteristics, this paper elaborates the security risks such as privacy data disclosure, inadequate access control, lack of identity authentication, transmission design defects, cross-border flow security risks, excessive collection and abuse, source identification, and blame determination. And finally, we put forward the measures and suggestions for the security development of IoV data in China.

Internet-scale Computing Security - The scale of the intelligent networked vehicle market is expanding rapidly, and network security issues also follow. A Situational Awareness (SA) system can detect, identify, and respond to security risks from a global perspective. In view of the discrete and weak correlation characteristics of perceptual data, this paper uses the Fly Optimization Algorithm (FOA) based on dynamic adjustment of the optimization step size to improve the convergence speed, and optimizes the extraction model of security situation element of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), based on Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN), to improve the accuracy of element extraction. Through the comparison of experimental algorithms, it is verified that the algorithm has fast convergence speed, high precision and good stability.

Internet of Vehicles Security - The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has a tremendous prospect for numerous vehicular applications. IoV enables vehicles to transmit data to improve roadway safety and efficiency. Data security is essential for increasing the security and privacy of vehicle and roadway infrastructures in IoV systems. Several researchers proposed numerous solutions to address security and privacy issues in IoV systems. However, these issues are not proper solutions that lack data authentication and verification protocols. In this paper, a blockchain-enabled automated data management system for vehicles has been proposed and demonstrated. This work enables automated data verification and authentication using smart contracts. Certified organizations can only access vehicle data uploaded by the vehicle user to the Interplanetary File System (IPFS) server through that vehicle user’s consent. The proposed system increases the security of vehicles and data. Vehicle privacy is also maintained here by increasing data privacy.

Internet of Vehicles Security - In the traditional Internet of Vehicles, communication data is easily tampered with and easily leaked. In order to improve the trust evaluation mechanism of the Internet of Vehicles and establish a trust relationship between vehicles, a blockchain-based Internet of Vehicles trust evaluation (BBTE) scheme is proposed. First, the scheme uses the roadside unit RSU to calculate the trust value of vehicle nodes and maintain the generation, verification and storage of blocks, so as to realize distributed data storage and ensure that data cannot be tampered with. Secondly, an efficient trust evaluation method is designed. The method integrates four trust decision factors: initial trust, historical experience trust, recommendation trust and RSU observation trust to obtain the overall trust value of vehicle nodes. In addition, in the process of constructing the recommendation trust method, the recommendation trust is divided into three categories according to the interaction between the recommended vehicle node and the communicator, use CRITIC to obtain the optimal weights of three recommended trusts, and use CRITIC to obtain the optimal weights of four trust decision-making factors to obtain the final trust value. Finally, the NS3 simulation platform is used to verify the security and accuracy of the trust evaluation method, and to improve the identification accuracy and detection rate of malicious vehicle nodes. The experimental analysis shows that the scheme can effectively deal with the gray hole attack, slander attack and collusion attack of other vehicle nodes, improve the security of vehicle node communication interaction, and provide technical support for the basic application of Internet of Vehicles security.

Internet of Vehicles Security - In construction machinery, connectivity delivers higher advantages in terms of higher productivity, lower costs, and most importantly safer work environment. As the machinery grows more dependent on internet-connected technologies, data security and product cybersecurity become more critical than ever. These machines have more cyber risks compared to other automotive segments since there are more complexities in software, larger after-market options, use more standardized SAE J1939 protocol, and connectivity through long-distance wireless communication channels (LTE interfaces for fleet management systems). Construction machinery also operates throughout the day, which means connected and monitored endlessly. Till today, construction machinery manufacturers are investigating the product cybersecurity challenges in threat monitoring, security testing, and establishing security governance and policies. There are limited security testing methodologies on SAE J1939 CAN protocols. There are several testing frameworks proposed for fuzz testing CAN networks according to [1]. This paper proposes security testing methods (Fuzzing, Pen testing) for in-vehicle communication protocols in construction machinery.

However, with the continuous development of science and technology, the network structure has become more and more complex, and the types of network attacks have varied. UAV information security and geographic information data have appeared security risks on the network. These hidden dangers have contributed to the progress of the drone and geographic information industry. And development has caused a great negative impact. In this regard, this article will conduct research on the network security of UAV systems and geographic information data, which can effectively assess the network security risks of UAV systems, and propose several solutions to potential safety hazards to reduce UAV networks. Internet of Vehicles Security - With the development of urbanization, the number of vehicles is gradually increasing, and vehicles are gradually developing in the direction of intelligence. How to ensure that the data of intelligent vehicles is not tampered in the process of transmission to the cloud is the key problem of current research. Therefore, we have established a data security transmission system based on blockchain. First, we collect and filter vehicle data locally, and then use blockchain technology to transmit key data. Through the smart contract, the key data is automatically and accurately transmitted to the surrounding node vehicles, and the vehicles transmit data to each other to form a transaction and spread to the whole network. The node data is verified through the node data consensus protocol of intelligent vehicle data security transmission system, and written into the block to form a blockchain. Finally, the vehicle user can query the transaction record through the vehicle address. The results show that we can safely and accurately transmit and query vehicle data in the blockchain database.

Internet of Vehicles Security - Internet of Vehicles consists of a three-layer architecture of electric vehicles, charging piles, and a grid dispatch management control center. Therefore, V2G presents multi-level, multi-agent and frequent information interaction, which requires a highly secure and lightweight identity authentication method. Based on the characteristics of Internet of Vehicles, this paper designs a multi-subject information interaction and one-way hash chain authentication method, it includes one-way hash chain and key distribution update strategy. The operation experiment of multiple electric vehicles and charging piles shows that the algorithm proposed in this paper can meet the V2G ID authentication requirements of Internet of Vehicles, and has the advantages of lightweight and low consumption. It is of great significance to improve the security protection level of Internet of Vehicles V2G.

Internet of Vehicles Security - As one of the effective methods to enhance traffic safety and improve traffic efficiency, the Internet of vehicles has attracted wide attention from all walks of life. V2X secure communication, as one of the research hotspots of the Internet of vehicles, also has many security and privacy problems. Attackers can use these vulnerabilities to obtain vehicle identity information and location information, and can also attack vehicles through camouflage.Therefore, the identity authentication process in vehicle network communication must be effectively protected. The anonymous identity authentication scheme based on moving target defense proposed in this paper not only ensures the authenticity and integrity of information sources, but also avoids the disclosure of vehicle identity information.

Intelligent transportation systems, such as connected vehicles, are able to establish real-time, optimized and collision-free communication with the surrounding ecosystem. Introducing the internet of things (IoT) in connected vehicles relies on deployment of massive scale sensors, actuators, electronic control units (ECUs) and antennas with embedded software and communication technologies. Combined with the lack of designed-in security for sensors and ECUs, this creates challenges for security engineers and architects to identify, understand and analyze threats so that actions can be taken to protect the system assets. This paper proposes a novel STRIDE-based threat model for IoT sensors in connected vehicle networks aimed at addressing these challenges. Using a reference architecture of a connected vehicle, we identify system assets in connected vehicle sub-systems such as devices and peripherals that mostly involve sensors. Moreover, we provide a prioritized set of security recommendations, with consideration to the feasibility and deployment challenges, which enables practical applicability of the developed threat model to help specify security requirements to protect critical assets within the sensor network.

On the Internet of Battlefield Things (IoBT), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) provide significant operational advantages. However, the exploitation of the UAV by an untrustworthy entity might lead to security violations or possibly the destruction of crucial IoBT network functionality. The IoBT system has substantial issues related to data tampering and fabrication through illegal access. This paper proposes the use of an intelligent architecture called IoBT-Net, which is built on a convolution neural network (CNN) and connected with blockchain technology, to identify and trace illicit UAV in the IoBT system. Data storage on the blockchain ledger is protected from unauthorized access, data tampering, and invasions. Conveniently, this paper presents a low complexity and robustly performed CNN called LRCANet to estimate AOA for object localization. The proposed LRCANet is efficiently designed with two core modules, called GFPU and stacks, which are cleverly organized with regular and point convolution layers, a max pool layer, and a ReLU layer associated with residual connectivity. Furthermore, the effectiveness of LRCANET is evaluated by various network and array configurations, RMSE, and compared with the accuracy and complexity of the existing state-of-the-art. Additionally, the implementation of tailored drone-based consensus is evaluated in terms of three major classes and compared with the other existing consensus.

The Internet of Vehicles (IoVs) performs the rapid expansion of connected devices. This massive number of devices is constantly generating a massive and near-real-time data stream for numerous applications, which is known as big data. Analyzing such big data to find, predict, and control decisions is a critical solution for IoVs to enhance service quality and experience. Thus, the main goal of this paper is to study the impact of big data analytics on traffic prediction in IoVs. In which we have used big data analytics steps to predict the traffic flow, and based on different deep neural models such as LSTM, CNN-LSTM, and GRU. The models are validated using evaluation metrics, MAE, MSE, RMSE, and R2. Hence, a case study based on a real-world road is used to implement and test the efficiency of the traffic prediction models.

Present-day vehicles have numerous Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and they communicate with each other over a network known as the Controller Area Network(CAN) bus. In this way, the CAN bus is a fundamental component of intra-vehicle communication. The CAN bus was designed without focusing on communication security and in this way it is vulnerable to many cyber attacks. As the vehicles are always connected to the Internet, the CAN bus is remotely accessible and could be hacked. To secure the communication between ECUs and defend against these cyber attacks, we apply a Hash Message Authentication Code(HMAC) to automotive data and demonstrate the CAN bus communication between two ECUs using Arduino UNO and MCP2515 CAN bus module.

With the increasing complexity of the driving environment, more and more attention has been paid to the research on improving the intelligentization of traffic control. Among them, the digital twin-based internet of vehicle can establish a mirror system on the cloud to improve the efficiency of communication between vehicles, provide warning and safety instructions for drivers, avoid driving potential dangers. To ensure the security and effectiveness of data sharing in traffic control, this paper proposes a secure and privacy-preserving scheme for digital twin-based traffic control. Specifically, in the data uploading phase, we employ a group signature with a time-bound keys technique to realize data source authentication with efficient members revocation and privacy protection, which can ensure that data can be securely stored on cloud service providers after it synchronizes to its twin. In the data sharing stage, we employ the secure and efficient attribute-based access control technique to provide flexible and efficient data sharing, in which the parameters of a specific sub-policy can be stored during the first decryption and reused in subsequent data access containing the same sub-policy, thus reducing the computing complexity. Finally, we analyze the security and efficiency of the scheme theoretically.
