CPS-IoT Week 2027

CPS-IoT Week 2027, a premier international gathering for research in cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things, will be held May 17–20, 2027, in Boulder, Colorado.

Bringing together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts from around the world, CPS-IoT Week provides a multidisciplinary forum for presenting new research, exchanging ideas, and exploring emerging challenges at the intersection of computing, communication, sensing, control, and physical systems.

NASA Formal Methods Symposium 2027

The 19th NASA Formal Methods Symposium (NFM 2027) will be held May 11–13, 2027, at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Houston, Texas. The annual symposium brings together researchers and practitioners from NASA, academia, industry, and the broader formal methods community to address challenges associated with assuring increasingly complex mission- and safety-critical systems.

The National Security Agency (NSA) has awarded the 12th Annual Best Scientific Cybersecurity Paper Competition to “Decoding Trust: Comprehensive Assessment of Trustworthiness in GPT Models.” The winning paper, authored by 19 researchers including Professors Dawn Song (UC Berkeley), Bo Li (UIUC), and Sanmi Koyejo (Stanford), proposes a groundbreaking evaluation framework for assessing the trustworthiness of large language models (LLMs) such as GPTs.

Amazon is seeking Ph.D. students working in automated reasoning, formal methods, and formal verification for its 2027 Applied Science Internship program.

The internships provide an opportunity for doctoral students to work alongside Amazon scientists on research applying automated reasoning to large-scale, real-world computing systems. Areas of application include cloud infrastructure verification, cryptographic assurance, AI safety, and formal guarantees for generative AI systems.
